Every year, the Dutch Interactive Awards award prizes for the very best interactive online work of the Netherlands. Young high-tech company SphereMall won this prestigious award for its personalized Omni-channel cyclist platform, "De Fietser", developed on behalf of Accell Netherlands.
The jury agreed on De Fietser to be an omnichannel case with beautiful brand elements and clear e-commerce goals. The jury praised the good cooperation between the Experience Center and local dealers.
Accell Netherlands, the manufacturer of Batavus, Sparta, and Koga, launched a new brand in 2016 so they can communicate to consumers through one brand overarching digital platform including an Experience Center.
This brand 'De Fietser' supports Accell Netherlands to build strong, personal customer relationships with consumers who are looking for a new bicycle that match their needs. In the underlying data model and user interface of the digital platform, individual preferences of consumers are the central starting point. In the Experience Center, bicycles can be tested on the indoor and outdoor test track getting insight on personal behavior and therefore offer more helpful advice from the expert of De Fietser Experience Center. In the upcoming months, SphereMall and Accell Netherlands will expand the platform with more technology including AI, in doorway finding and an app. Later this year, the first order will take place, fully supported by this new platform. The entire customer journey involving the interaction between online, offline, the Experience Center, delivery and service at local dealers will be entirely operable. The main goal is to buy and maintain a new bike in a simpler, more enjoyable and more personal way.
